The program provides thorough training in machine learning tools, digital logic design, software and hardware with a specialization in networks, and cybersecurity.

Learners will build special skills in hardware and software designs, and be well-versed with digital electronics, analog, and information systems. The admission requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Embedded Systems and Internet of Things (ESIOT) at the Universities at Shady Grove by the University of Maryland, College Park are a minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA from all previous institutions, completion of MATH141 (Calculus II) with a minimum grade of B-, completion of PHYS161 (Physics I) with a minimum grade of B-, completion of either CHEM 135, CHEM 271 or CHEM134 with a minimum grade of C-, completion of all lower-level General Education requirements, at least 60 transferable credits to UMD, official transcripts, application essay, online application, a non-refundable application fee of $75, English language proficiency, financial certification, and a visa.
