Throughout the course duration, students will be equipped with holistic knowledge on the introduction of blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLTs), machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI), statistics fundamental, programming blockchain and big data connectivity, decentralized applications (DAPPs) Ethereum development, cryptoeconomics and cryptotrading concepts, SQL and NoSQL databases, text mining and social media, Hyperledger development, python programming, and big data technologies. 

Likewise, students can acquire curricular internships with many leading companies in the digital sector and can receive a real contract offer from the same companies after the completion of the internship which represents an opportunity for the future of every student. Graduates from this program will showcase their overall skills including the legal and fiscal aspects behind blockchain and big data and their application in the business world, as well as entrepreneurship and marketing concepts on these technologies.

The entry requirements for the Blockchain and Big Data Master’s Degree at the Unibersidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) are as follows: sending the documents through the online pre-registration form and evaluating the applicant, scheduling a personal interview of the applicant, confirming the suitability of the applicant, and formalizing the reservation. It is recommended that applicants have a sufficient level of knowledge in the English language to allow an adequate understanding of technical readings of the supporting documents even if all classes and materials will be in Spanish.

Learners are required to pay the tuition fee amounting to €6,500 and an additional amount of €40 for the Secretarial Fees for the whole duration of the program, equivalent to 520 hours from October to June. The scheduled classes are every Friday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM, while 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM every Saturday.
