Learners will also gain knowledge of the distributed system, big data, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, econometrics, statistics, high-dimensional inference, text mining, cloud computing, operating systems, and database systems. Graduates will showcase their knowledge and experience in formulating scientific or industrial problems into data science problems and solving them with computational and statistical methods, and they will be well-prepared for careers that solve practical computational data science problems. Likewise, they will enjoy career opportunities as business intelligence analysts, data modelers, data mining engineers, developers, engineers, data warehouse architects, data scientists, and research analysts.

The entry requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Computational Data Science (B.Sc. CDAS) at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) are GCE-AL or International-AL: 3AL / 2AL+2AS, high school diploma plus SAT or ACT and AP Tests or SAT subject tests, International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, completed at least one year of undergraduate study in a recognized university, completed at least one year of study, leading to the qualification of an associate degree or higher diploma, English language proficiency IELTS score of 6.0 or TOEFL iBT score of 80, level 3 in Chinese and English language and level 2 in Mathematics and Liberal Studies (JUPAS applicants), an online application form, and online application fee of HK$450.

The program has a full-time duration equivalent to 4 years. Local students are required to pay a tuition fee that costs HK42,100 per year while international students are required to pay HK$145,000 per year. Students are also required to pay other fees for the hostel, transportation, and books on top of the tuition fee. The university offers scholarships and financial assistance to outstanding and deserving students.
