It offers Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) in Internet of Things which is designed to focus on the higher-end of computing and storage, apps and services, and analytics as well as meeting the growing demand for experts in the emerging industry revolution 4.0. Students are expected to be exposed to IoT applications, device integration, infrastructure, and data analytics.

Taking this field of study will equip learners with broad knowledge in programming, database management system, network fundamentals, operating system administration, internet programming, data science, IoT network, machine learning, IoT project management, application security, data analytics, and cloud computing. Learners will also demonstrate teamwork, leadership, social, and interpersonal skills in a diverse technical environment, demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking in solving a broadly defined problem in IoT, apply theoretical principles of IoT in practical areas, as well as design and manage IoT solutions and resources. Similarly, learners will demonstrate knowledge of essential concepts and principles relating to IoT, communicate effectively with IoT peers, and show professionalism with ethical and legal principles. Graduates from this program will showcase practical skills and establish competencies and may undertake roles as IoT Developers, IoT Architects, IoT Solution Engineers, Data Analysts, and Consultants.

The entry requirements for the Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) in Internet of Things at the Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) are a diploma and transcripts with a minimum of 2.50 CGPA, a pass in STPM or other equivalent qualification with at least grade C in 2 subjects and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or pass in matriculation/foundation studies with minimum CGPA of 2.00 or pass in UniKL Foundation in Science and Technology with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or pass in International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum of 24 points, English language proficiency TOEFL score of 500 or IELTS score of 5.0, academic documents, the first page of the passport, complete online application with relevant documents, and student visa.

The program has a full-time duration equivalent to 3.5 years and a part-time duration equivalent to 5 years. Local students are required to pay a tuition fee of RM7,000-RM7,500 per semester and RM8,800-RM9,750 per semester for international students. UniKL assists students in obtaining financial aid, scholarships, and educational loans from MARA, PTPTN, Yayasan UniKL, work-study scheme, Zakat, and other financial institutions.
